Dear IPA Members
From 18-20.06.2021 in the beautiful ambience of the hotel “MIZO” set at the coast of Ohrod Lake in Ohrid the annual assembly of IPA MKD-Region Skopje was held, as well as an international meeting and socializing with 9 IPA Regions from neighboring countries.
At the same time, on 18.06.2021 at 14:00, the on-line IPA Mediterranean Conference started, which was attended by representatives of 26 countries and hosted by our national section, it was assessed as successful by the World Vice President of IPA Mr. Kyriakos and we hope that next year it will be held in regular conditions whiteout any restriction in our country.
Namely, due to the restrictions with the COVID 19 pandemic and the restriction for holding public gatherings, as soon as the conditions allowed it, the Management Board of IPA Region Skopje started to realize the obligation to hold the regular annual assembly.
Considering the fact that in the past year and a half IPA could practically not organize any events, the Management Board of IPA Region Skopje decided to use this opportunity to hold an international meeting with the regions of neighboring countries.
A total of 14 IPA regions from Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina were invited to this event, and the following regions with a total of 42 representatives responded to the invitation:
IPA Region South, Montenegro
IPA Region Krusevac, Serbia
IPA Region Bor, Sub-Region Negotin, Serbia
IPA Brcko Region, Bosnia and Herzegovina
IPA Burgas, Bulgaria
IPA Region Shkoder from Section in foundation Albania
IPA Region Timisoara, Romania
We were especially honored that our guest was the President of IPA Montenegro Mr. Vojislav Dragovic, the President of IPA Region Timisoara Mr. Moldovan and Director of local police in Timisoara, m-r Dorel Cojan, the Vice President of IPA Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Baric, the President of IPA Region Burgas, m-r Pavlin Kovacev, and Vice-President of IPA Albania (section in foundation), Mr. Ardian Zaganjori and all other IPA members from abroad.
Representatives of the other eight IPA Regions from the country were invited to the Assembly of IPA MKD-Region Skopje and took active part in the events with two delegates each, about 50 delegates from IPA Region Skopje, Members of Commissions and the Board of IPA Region Skopje, as well as The President of IPA MKD Mr. Robertino Acevski.
The Assembly started with a solemn greeting of the uniformed police officers led by Mr. Igno Stojkov holding the flags of the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia and IPA Region Skopje, after which the national anthem and the anthem of IPA was played, and finally all the participants paid tribute with a minute of silence to all killed and deceased members of the Ministry of Interior
At the beginning, the Assembly was greeted with a Telegram from the Director of the Bureau for Public Safety, Mr. Sasho Tasevski, M.Sc., longtime member of IPA, congratulating us on successful work and on the occasion of 10 years since the establishment of IPA MKD and IPA Region Skopje and the other eight Regions.
At the same time, we express our gratitude and special respect to our longtime IPA member, Mr. Toni Stankovski, Ph.D. Assistent Director of the Bureau for Public Safety, who made a selfless contribution to the organization of this great event for us, following the goals and principles of the International Police Association – IPA.
After the opening of the Assembly by the President of IPA Region Skopje, Mr. Igno Stojkov and greetings to our guests from abroad, a joint photo was taken of all participants at the event, after which a tourist tour lead by the professional guide of our pearl-Ohrid was organized for guests from abroad and the delegates continued their work.
During the Assembly, the Annual and Financial Report for 2020 and the Work Program of the IPA Region Skopje фор 2021 were adopted, as well as the Draft Rulebooks.
After the end of the official part of the Assembly, special gifts were exchanged with all IPA Regions and also Appreciations and special gifts were given to the IPA members who gave a special contribution to the organization of This Assembly, Opening of the new Offices of IPA MKD and IPA Region Skopje and contribution to the promotion of IPA ideas especially between young police officers.
And of course in the end we should not forget the contribution of the President of the IPA Region Skopje, Mr. Igno Stojkov, the Secretary General of the IPA Region Skopje and Assistant Secretary General of IPA MKD, Mr MSc Igor Manojloski and all members of the Management Board, Commissions, IPA representatives and IPA members without whom all this would not have been possible.
During the evening before the start of the organized Pool party , appropriate gifts were exchanged with all foreign delegations and at the same time the presentation of the Tourist opportunities of neighboring Albania was followed by the tourist promoter of IPA Albania (section in formation)
